How to Create Unique Color Names List
Follow these tips to create your unique color names list:
- Get a list of objects around you that have a specific color and use them to come up with your color name list. For example, the color “tomato red” is used to depict a reddish color like that of a red tomato. Also, the color “ocean blue” is used to depict the blue color of that ocean. In fact, the color “orange” was named after the orange fruit. There is also sky blue, sand brown, rose red, gold, butter, and many more. With this, you can come up with an endless color name list.
- You can create a unique color name from the names of famous places. Examples of colors named after popular places are the University of Pennsylvania Red, Azure Blue, and United Nation Blue.
- You can freestyle. You can come up with a word, a combination of words and attribute it to a unique color. No one is going to sue you for that. But be purposeful about it. Don’t just start creating words and attributing them to a color because you are bored. Let the naming come from a place of purpose and meaning.
For example, let’s say you were working on something that involves mixing colors, and you came up with a unique color. You can choose to give the color a name. The name could be derived from the project you were working on, the people involved, or something else entirely. Just be sure to explain where the naming of the color came from and what it means so people can buy into it.
However, be sure to confirm that the exact color you are attributing it to does not already have a name attached to it. You don’t want your color name to conflict with one that is already in existence.
